Conus (Conasprella) susanae (Petuch, 1994)
Description (2): Shell of average size for subgenus, stocky, truncated, broad across shoulder, with moderately-high, pyramidal spire; shoulder sharply-edged, bound by undulating carina with small, flattened bladelike knobs; body whorl sculptured with 20-22 deeply-impressed spiral sulci; aperture narrow, widening slightly anteriorly.
Holotype: UF66439, Length 21 mm.
Type Locality: Pinecrest Beds Fauna (upper beds only), from Petuch Unit 3, APAC pit, Sarasota, Sarasota County.
Remarks: A comparison of Conus susanae with its closest relative, C. marymansfieldae n. sp. (Plate 94, Figure E) was given under the description of C. marymansfieldae.
Etymology: Named for Ms. Susan Shugar Smith of Weston, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
